the sunday card is a bit of a ho-hummer, but we'll take a couple cracks at it.
r4: samwise. we may get a very nice price on this son of langfuhr in this field of potential monsters, who figures to go much much better with the blinkers on. 'wise showed some early speed before giving up the goose in the lane and now gets the blinks and the very capable ramsammy. the other two i like in here, diamond fury (who ever heard of a $2.7M son of Sea of Secrets???)and the firster hickory pete (mandella rarely works them this fast, so he must be able to run a ton) should also be tough. gamblin', he of the 90 beyer last out, figures the chalk, but this race is a loaded maiden race, so i'd take a price.
r6: hippocrates. hmn, how do we beat wimbledon? perhaps we can't (baffert has been very high on this one for a while), but i'll take a chance this million dollar son of hennesy can improve off his us debut where he broke very poorly and made a decent late run for valdivia. should go much better here with experience.
r9: kenny hawk. the finale on sunday's card sees 20k claimers in various states of disrepair. 'hawk has seen better days but should show speeed and stick in the switch from turf to dirt for the winless mark glatt. at 6/1, i'm in.
that's all for now. good luck.
